Responsible gambling Philippines players can follow is mostly arithmetic. Every session has a price, and the price should be one you chose before the first bet. PeraPH is not a casino, but its buttons lead to partner platforms, so it is fair to put the safety checks up front.
Responsible gambling Philippines: seven checks
- Be 21 or older. Younger players are shut out of online platforms by PAGCOR.
- Fix a budget. Pick an amount you can lose without touching rent, load or school fees. If that is PHP 500, a session ends at PHP 500.
- Set a time limit. PAGCOR’s reminders say to set time limits for each session.
- Never borrow to play. PAGCOR says never to borrow money or use all your resources.
- Do not chase losses. Trying to win back what you lost is on PAGCOR’s list of warning signs.
- Check the site first. PAGCOR says to confirm a platform is PAGCOR-licensed before you play or pay, at pagcorguarantee.ph.
- Keep gambling away from your wallet. Since 16 August 2025 GCash and Maya have not carried gaming services, so be wary of any page that promises otherwise.
Put the budget in writing. A simple split helps: if PHP 500 is the session budget and you reach PHP 250 down, stop and take a break, rather than raising the stake to recover. The number matters less than the habit of deciding it first.
Warning signs to watch for
PAGCOR lists these signs of problem gambling, and any two together deserve attention.
| Sign | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Betting more than meant | The stake grows each round |
| Playing longer than planned | A “quick” session runs for hours |
| Debt and missed bills | Money for the bills goes to the game |
| Borrowing, selling or stealing | Anything to keep playing |
| Constant thoughts of gambling | It crowds out work and family |
| Low mood | Hopelessness, anxiety or depression |
PAGCOR self-exclusion and where to get help
PAGCOR runs two programmes: Self Exclusion, for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, and Family Exclusion, for 6 months, 1 year or 3 years. The first 6 months of a self-exclusion cannot be lifted. Applicants need the form, a photocopy of a government photo ID and two 2x2 colour photos from the last 6 months, and may email [email protected].
Help lines in the Philippines:
- National Problem Gambling Helpline, free, confidential, 24/7: (02) 8248-9568, [email protected], npgh.ph. It says it is not an emergency crisis hotline.
- National Center for Mental Health hotline, as published by the DOH Cordillera office: 1553, 0917-899-8727.

Red flags to watch for on any site
- A page that promises a win, or a “sure” bonus, from a deposit.
- A PAGCOR logo with no address you can check. PAGCOR has warned about fake certificates.
- Pressure to deposit again right now.
- A form asking for your wallet PIN or a one-time code.
Report illegal sites to the CICC at cicc.gov.ph.
Before any sign-up, read the online casino register rules checks, and when a login fails, the online casino login safety page.
Wallet changes are on the GCash casino deposits explained page and install risks under casino app. Play only at 21 and up, keep it fun, and stop when it is not.
How to Get Started
-
Write the limit before you play
Choose a peso amount and a session length while you are calm. Treat both as a ceiling, not a target.
-
Watch for the warning signs
Playing longer than planned, chasing losses and missing bills are the signs PAGCOR lists. Two in a week is a reason to pause.
-
Reach out early
Call the helpline, tell someone you trust, or start PAGCOR's self-exclusion. Asking early costs less than asking late.
